An amazing large antique Chinese porcelain plate with a central decoration of 16 Panels with the Flowers of the Four Seasons - Plum Blossom, Peonies, Chrysanthemum, Orchids. Many birds and insects. Executed in a deep underglaze cobalt blue. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1690). On the backside a decoration of peach blossom marked with the six character Kangxi reign mark: Da Qing KangXi Nian Zhi. Guaranteed original and of the stated period. This rare plate has a high inner rim in the center, possibly for holding a larger bowl. Diameter: 36,8 centimeter Condition: The object is in overall good condition, a couple of shallow flakes, one hairline on the rim. No other damages or any restorations. Checked with UV light.
