Description from the seller

Old oval solid silver plate 925/1000 with a gadrooned edge, featuring a vermilion interior.
The center is decorated with a painted medallion depicting a rustic scene with characters, crafted with finesse and offering a beautiful decorative quality.
The object bears a partially illegible punch line, clearly showing the '925' mark and a letter 'R' interpreted as a workshop mark.
The wear of the stamps is consistent with their age, usage, and previous cleaning, and does not compromise the authenticity of the piece.
This type of production, combining solid silver with inner gilding and painted decoration, is characteristic of European works, most certainly Italian, from the late 19th to early 20th century, often made for export.
Good overall condition considering the age, presence of micro-scratches, and normal wear of the gold plating and hallmarks.
