The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 584 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 170 mm; middle bouts: 113 mm; lower bouts: 209 mm. The sound is very good, suitable for soloist. Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
