Doornkaat - German Schnapps gift set - b. 1970s - 70cl

Doornkaat is a fine triple distilled grain spirit produced in the best Frisian tradition. It has inspired many famous figures throughout history. Wilhelm Busch included Doornkaat in his illustrated stories, and the comedian Heinz Erhardt affectionately called it "Dodo." Most recently, Hape Kerkeling's fictional character, the local journalist Horst Schlämmer, was a devoted fan of this grain spirit.

Doornkaat is traditionally packaged in its distinctive green square bottle and was produced until 1994 when the company was closed down. This bottle comes with a gift set that also includes two pewter spoons.
