Observation binoculars - 3× Compact Binoculars - 1970-1980 - Japan - Nikon

This is a vintage Nikon 3× compact binocular, manufactured in Japan during the Shōwa period. With its low magnification, this model is designed in a Galilean (opera-glass) configuration, making it especially suitable for theaters, concerts, and sports viewing where a wide field of view and comfortable observation are preferred.

The binoculars feature a metal body with a synthetic leather covering, offering both durability and a secure grip, along with high-quality Japanese optical glass. Although the item is approximately 40–50 years old and shows numerous small surface scratches, it remains usable and retains its strong retro character.

The set includes the original case and strap. Please note that the zipper on the case is broken, though it can still be opened and closed. This is a rare vintage Nikon item and an appealing addition for collectors of classic Japanese optical equipment.
