Original WWII propaganda folder titled SAFE CONDUCT / PASSIERSCHEIN from 1944, issued by Allied forces (Luchtmacht) to guarantee safe passage for surrendering German troops; dimensions 21.4 x 13.3 cm, in very good condition, original, one copy, no certificate.

Safe conduct / Pass
A rare original propaganda leaflet from World War II, originating from the Allies and dropped from an aircraft. It concerns a specific type of 'PASSIERSCHEIN' (surrender leaflet) that guaranteed safe passage for the surrendering German troops.
This specific variant (code ZG 37) was dropped behind German lines during the Battle of Normandy and was also used further in the following month.
Top left: the Great Seal of the United States.
Top right: the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, seen with the text 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' on the ribbon.
The coat of arms features a crowned lion and a crowned unicorn as shield bearers.
The shield itself is divided into four quarters with the coats of arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland.
The phrase 'DIEU ET MON DROIT' is French for 'God and my right'.
