Description from the seller

A fine set of three Sansuke ware sake cups (guinomi) featuring a charming frog (kaeru) motif, a symbol of good fortune and safe return in Japanese culture. This set represents traditional Japanese ceramic craftsmanship and is an excellent example of Showa-period folk pottery (Mingei).

The cups are handcrafted stoneware, each individually shaped and glazed, resulting in subtle variations that highlight their artisanal character. One cup features a raised frog decoration, while the other two display complementary forms, creating a harmonious set.

The set comes complete with its original wooden storage box, original wrapping cloth, and original descriptive paper, confirming its authenticity and careful preservation. The pieces are unused and have been stored for many years in their original packaging.

This is a highly collectible and decorative set, ideal for use, display, or as an addition to a serious collection of Japanese ceramics or sake ware.
