Original 60 × 60 cm acrylic painting Tristesse by Théophanie MANOÏLOV, an abstract portrait in multicolour, created in 2015 in France, sold direct from the artist and hand-signed, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
In this portrait titled 'Sadness,' the artist explores the inner expression of a profound emotion. The face appears at the center, almost emerging from a dense pictorial material made of superpositions, scratching, and impasto strokes. The eyes, of great tenderness, are the focal point: they convey vulnerability, melancholy, and a silent form of dignity.
The background, composed of purples, dark roses, and golden touches, envelops the figure and enhances the introspective atmosphere. This vibrant texture contrasts with the more delicate modeling of the face, creating the impression of a fragile presence amidst an agitated world.
The work oscillates between abstraction and figuration, leaving the viewer the freedom to project their own feelings onto it. It invites a moment of pause, emotion, and empathy.
Work in very good condition, kept and displayed in a living room since its creation.
Canvas measuring 60 × 60 cm, screwed onto a thin painted wooden board in black (serving as a frame border).
Technique: acrylic painting, texture work, and layering.
Signed by my hand.
Careful packaging: bubble wrap + rigid polystyrene sheet.
