United Kingdom - Lancaster - Military accessories

The Avro Lancaster entered service with Bomber Command in 1942 and remained in production until 1946. Powered by four Rolls Royce Merlin engines, it was the RAF's main aircraft for long-range heavy bombing campaigns, most often at night, of which around 156,000 sorties were completed. The long, unobstructed bomb bay offered great versatility - accommodating the largest bombs including the 'Tallboy' and Grand Slam 'Earthquake' bombs, and Barnes Wallis' famous bouncing bomb which cemented the Lancaster's place in history. Our tribute desk sculpture has been cast in solid aluminium and polished to a high sheen such that its subtle curves and angles catch the light. Measures: 30x42x20cm Registered shipping with Track & Trace
