Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Waterman Hundred Year – Lady version fountain pen, made of resin, USA, dating from the late 1930s to early 1940s, 125 mm long and 12 mm in diameter, with an original 14 kt solid gold nib, used in good condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Waterman’s Hundred Year 'Lady' vintage fountain pen, in very good overall condition, especially notable considering its age (late 1930s – early 1940s).
The Lady Red celluloid maintains a deep, uniform shine, with well-preserved transparency and veining. No cracks, deformations, or structural losses are observed. It shows slight micro-scratches on the surface, typical of use and age, visible only under close inspection and direct light, without affecting its aesthetics or integrity in any way.
The cap fits correctly, with a firm and well-aligned double gold ring. The Waterman's gold clip remains straight, with good tension and very slight, uniform gold wear consistent with its age, without corrosion or significant loss.
The body displays an excellent chromatic balance, with well-defined red terminals and no cracks. The loading lever operates smoothly, without play, correctly aligned, and with a gold finish in good visual condition.
The original Waterman's 14 kt solid gold nib is intact, with no cracks or deformations, and has a well-defined tip. It shows normal signs of use visible on the surface, consistent with an authentic vintage pen. The ebonite feed is complete and properly adjusted.
The lever-loading system is complete; the interior bag may have been replaced or require inspection according to the buyer's preference (recommended for vintage pens for continued use).
Overall, it is an honest, original, and very attractive piece, ideal for both collection and occasional use, representing the quality and elegance of Waterman's Hundred Year commemorative series.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
