Né a Paris en 1925 fils unique de parents Polonais Après une scolarité brillante l'envie de faire de la photo est plus forte et il deviens un photographe incontournable du Magazine ELLE de 1955 a 1985 avec l'ambition de faire des photos témoignages sur la vraie nature des photographiés,leurs manies,leurs joies …...jamais des photos de paparazzi ,toujours des photos consenties par ses sujets.

Born in Paris in 1925, Henri Elwing was the only son of Polish parents. After completing his education with outstanding brilliancy, his desire to be a photographer outweighed everything and he became one of ELLE Magazine’s greatest photographers from 1955 to 1985, nurturing the ambition of taking photos which expressed a photographed person’s true self, their idiosyncrasies, their joys… never any paparazzi shots, only ever pictures his subjects agreed to.
