A set of 4 18th century salt cellars in near perfect condition. The first three identical in all respects with marks for sterling silver, London, the silversmith William Vine and the year letter "l" for 1786 and weighing 75 gram each. The fourth, with year letter "p" for 1790 with apparently similar but hard to resd hallmarks weighing 57 gram. All four guilded on the inside. Purchased at Sotheby's in London in 1978.
