Very beautiful reproduction of a 12th-century reliquary cross pendant (Romanesque period with Byzantine influence). This high-quality piece was crafted by the renowned French art foundry Max Le Verrier, known for its collectible bronzes.

Avers: Representation of the triumphant Christ dressed in the colobium (long tunic), flanked by the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Evangelist. Above, the symbols of the sun and moon.

Revers: Engraved inscription 'Around the year 1170' and signature of the foundry 'BRONZE / M. LE VERRIER'.

Material: Solid bronze with a beautiful antique greenish patina, typical of the workshop's craftsmanship.

Dimensions: about 9 cm x 7 cm.

Weight: 108 g.

Condition: Excellent overall condition, beautiful detail of the reliefs.

Historical context: This cross is a faithful replica of a medieval archaeological piece kept at the Musée de Cluny (National Museum of the Middle Ages). It is an object of devotion or elegant decoration, ideal for enthusiasts of medieval art and the Crusades era.
