The Pentax smc-A 135mm f/2.8 telephoto lens for Pentax K‑mount, tested and working, in fair physical condition from ca. 1970–1980, including original caps and a case.
Description from the seller
I am selling the very extensive photography collection of my late father. He was a passionate hobby photographer for 65 years and in recent years also experimented with alternative lenses on digital cameras. He would disassemble the lenses if necessary for cleaning or repair. I am not a photography expert myself, so I describe the lot as thoroughly as possible, including as many detailed photos as possible.
READ the information below and carefully examine the attached photos to avoid any misunderstandings.
This concerns:
from the internet
A classic Pentax SMC Pentax-A 135mm f/2.8 telephoto lens, suitable for Pentax K-mount cameras and also compatible with modern mirrorless systems via adapter. This lens is an iconic piece of vintage optics that offers a warm, characterful rendering often unmatched by digital lenses.
Photographic story
The Pentax 135 mm f/2.8 is the perfect lens for photographers who want to bring portraits to life. Thanks to its fast f/2.8 aperture, this lens naturally separates subjects from the background, with a creamy, smooth bokeh that is soft yet full of character. The background beautifully blurs, while your subject remains sharp and contrast-rich.
Whether you're doing outdoor portraits, street photography, or close-up telephoto work, this lens provides depth and atmosphere in every shot. The 135 mm focal length offers a pleasing compression of perspective, making portraits more flattering and subtly rendering details.
This lens comes with the original caps and an original bag.
The diaphragm is in perfect focus.
The front lens actually does have '2 small insects' visible and some dust. It seems minimal to me based on my assessment, but carefully review the backlit photos to determine for yourself whether this has any adverse effects on the quality.
Combined shipping of lots is possible, but only if they are won in the same auction. This is to save on shipping costs!
