Description from the seller

Name: Northwest Africa 13281 (NWA 13281)
Type: Meteorite – Ordinary chondrite (L5)
Place of discovery: Niger, Africa
Year of discovery: 2019
Weight: 420 g
NWA 13281 is an ordinary chondrite L5 meteorite, found in Niger in 2019 and officially classified in the Meteoritical Bulletin. It belongs to a group of primitive meteorites formed at the beginning of the solar system, originating from a non-differentiated asteroid body.

It presents a balanced texture with poorly defined chondrule boundaries due to the thermal metamorphism characteristic of class L5. Its composition includes olivine, orthopyroxene, metallic iron-nickel, troilite, and chromite, with chemistry compatible with L5 (Fa ~22–23; Fs ~19–20).

The surface shows partially preserved dark fusion crust and moderate desert alteration, common in findings from Northwest Africa. The piece is offered in its natural state, unpolished and unrestored.

Authentic specimen, scientifically documented and suitable for both specialized collectors and educational and scientific interest.
