A large and softly modeled representation of Our Lady of Lourdes, made in wax and finished with hand-painted details. Mary stands in the classic Lourdes pose with folded hands and a rosary, wearing the blue-white ribbon that shows signs of paint wear over time. The pedestal features a stylized rock formation referencing the grotto of Massabielle, the site of the apparitions. The matte, ivory-colored wax gives the entire piece a distinctive light-transmitting appearance.
