Description
Dom Pérignon P2 (Second Plénitude) 2003 represents the moment when the wine reaches its peak of energy and intensity after extended ageing on the lees. Released only when the cellar masters deem it ready, P2 reveals a remarkable balance between power, precision, and freshness.
In the glass, the wine shows a luminous golden colour with a fine, persistent effervescence. The nose is layered and expressive, offering aromas of ripe stone fruits, toasted brioche, almond, citrus peel, and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, it is broad yet focused, with flavours of candied citrus, roasted hazelnuts, gentle spice, and a vibrant mineral backbone. The long, saline finish highlights the wine’s structure and impressive ageing potential.
The warm 2003 vintage contributes an extra dimension of richness and depth, while the extended maturation brings tension, harmony, and elegance.
Rarity
