Large WWI Postcard & Photograph Album (c. 1914–1919) – Over 100 Feldpost Items – German Army / Western Front
A substantial and original World War I album containing more than 100 postcards, photographs and Feldpost correspondences, compiled between 1914 and 1919 by a German soldier and his family.
The three high-value aviation cards (Immelmann, Boelcke, Oswald) are not included and will be offered separately.
Contents & Highlights
This album spans the entire war period and includes:
Dozens of authentic Feldpost cards with clear regimental stamps, censor marks and handwritten messages.
Coloured and black-and-white wartime postcards depicting:
– destroyed towns and villages in Belgium and France
– troop marches and prisoner transports
– winter landscapes from the Hartmannsweilerkopf sector
– harbour and coastal scenes (Ostend, Antwerp)
– patriotic and propaganda artworks
– naval and marine illustrations
Portrait photographs of officers and soldiers, including studio portraits and early printed lithographic images.
City postcards from Posen, Liegnitz, Brussels, Antwerp, etc., many sent during wartime with 1914–1917 postmarks.

Condition
The album is over 100 years old and remains in good, complete condition.
Cards are well preserved with strong colours and legible writing. Minor foxing, edge wear, and small age marks are present, consistent with historical material of this period. Album pages and mounting corners remain original.
