A Japanese Shino ware tea bowl (chawan) by Higuchi Tozo (樋口統三), a ceramic artist associated with Mino ware tradition.
This piece features the soft milky-white Shino glaze with warm iron spots and a gently distorted form, characteristic of Shino aesthetics.
The bowl shows a calm and natural presence, suitable for traditional tea ceremony use as well as for display.
The work is accompanied by its original wooden box (tomobako) with the artist’s handwritten inscription and seal, along with an original cloth and explanatory leaflet.

Height: 10 cm
Condition:
Good condition. No cracks or chips observed. Minor kiln marks and unevenness are inherent to the Shino firing process.
