Description from the seller

Polished brass statue open hand or high-five sign
The piece is part of a NOIR Furniture series that features the most iconic hand symbols often used by people all over the globe.

An open hand sign generally means honesty, openness, trust, and peace, with palms up signaling vulnerability or asking for something, while palms facing out (moutza in some cultures) can be an insult, but in general body language, open hands signal sincerity, approachability, and truthfulness, with the specific meaning depending on palm orientation and context.
In recent years the gesture has also come to signify a high-five. The high five, born from a moment of spontaneous celebration during a baseball game in the late 1970s, evolved from a simple hand slap into a universal symbol of camaraderie and triumph.

Material: polished brass
Dimensions: 24x19x6cm (1430g)
Condition: as new
