Late 19th‑century sterling silver hinged elliptical box, hallmarked Birmingham with the 1893 date letter and maker mark T.H. for Thomas Hayes, monogram JFE, dimensions 11.5 × 5.5 × 4 cm, weight 80 g, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.

Superior hand crafted quality late 19th Century sterling 925 silver collectable elliptical shape hinged box, finely ornate with embossed naturalistic scrolls and engraved "JFE" monogram
Fully hallmarked on cover and body Birmingham Assay Office guarantee and "i" date letter for 1893, together with Thomas Hayes silversmith's mark "T.H"

Condition report:
In clean fine 133 years old original condition, perfectly closing, interior with few dark areas - great patina, minor scratches, a couple of dings - no cracks, no repairs, as you can see in pictures that are part of the description (wine bottle not included)
