The surface shows rich earthy brown tones, natural ash effects, and subtle kiln marks, reflecting the aesthetics of wabi-sabi and the long tradition of unglazed Japanese ceramics.
The form is well-balanced, with a carefully shaped foot, suggesting hand-crafted work rather than mass production.
The bowl comes with its original wooden storage box (tomobako), inscribed with “Tea Bowl” and bearing an artist’s seal, indicating it was made for formal appreciation.
