Description from the seller
Silver-plated French champagne bucket – Art Deco
Beautiful silver-plated champagne bucket from France, executed in the Art Deco style. The object is made of a base metal (brass) with a silver-plated outer layer and features characteristic lines and shapes fitting the years around the interwar period. The bucket has a classically balanced proportion and is ideal as a decorative element or for festive use.
At the bottom of the bucket, there is a marking '12', indicating that approximately 12 grams of silver were used in the electroplating process to cover the surface. This marking appears on French silver-plated tableware and provides an indication of the thickness and amount of silver layer on the object (this method measures the amount of silver used in the silver plating of the item).
