Zhu Chen

3 schalen van keramiek van de Nederlandse potterij Zaalberg. Zijn in uitstekende staat. Elke schaal is uniek, handgedraaid en heeft een merkstempel.
Schaal 1: 22 cm doorsnee, 11 cm hoog, 750 gram, 
Schaal 2: 18 cm doorsnee, 11 cm hoog, 580 gram, 
Schaal 3: 22 cm doorsnee, 13 cm hoog, 1200 gram

Potterij Zaalberg is een kleinschalig Nederlands familiebedrijf, opgericht in 1918 door Hermanus Zaalberg sr en bestaat nog steeds. Is in de loop van de jaren overgedragen aan zijn zonen. Zijn eerste handgedraaide servies was in 1937 handgedraaide servies was in 1937 te zien tijdens een expositie in de Jaarbeurs te Utrecht. Een bekroning met een gouden medaille was er voor de collectie die Zaalberg toonde tijdens de Wereldtentoonstelling in Parijs. De stijl van het aardewerk veranderde in de loop der jaren van de Jugendstil-inslag van vader Herman tot de simpele vormen en glazuren van het Japanse en vroeg-Chinese keramiek, waarvoor zoon Meindert een voorkeur had.
