Art Nouveau piëdestal plant table dating from 1900–1920, made of oak, 103 cm high, top about 20.5 × 29.5 cm, legs about 39 cm apart, weight 4 kg.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful Art Nouveau plant table (piedestal). The table is made of oak wood. It weighs about 4kg, is approximately 103cm high, and the top surface measures about 20.5cm by 29.5cm. The legs are about 39cm apart. The table dates from the early years of the last century. You can consider the table as an Art Nouveau piece of furniture, with the graceful support highlighting the top surface. The inward-facing round shape of both the top and bottom surfaces is also a typical Art Nouveau feature. Additionally, the legs are elegantly curved outward. This is why the plant table is dated around the 1910s.
Due to temperature influences, the top board has a slight crack and is also a little warped (see photos). These signs of use are appropriate for such an old plant table.
The oak wood has a beautiful grain. The table can be used as a plant table, but also as a pedestal or telephone table (see photos). As an accent table, it is too high. In any setting, this table is a beautiful, fitting piece of furniture. Because the table is quite tall, it is especially suitable for a plant with hanging branches and leaves.
The table is still particularly stable. There is no movement at all in the connections, which is quite exceptional, because there is usually a slight wobble in this type of furniture.
This plant table is carefully packed and shipped insured.
