AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This lot features a large faience pear-shaped polychrome jug created around the second half of 18th century (Pfeiffer period - c1760) in a german major pottery production center, most probably Bayreuth factory. Its white glaze is richly decorated with naively executed paintings featuring flowers and birds. The flat-wide handle connected to a pewter mount is ornated around its lower part by feather drawings, similar to a twist handle jug dating from 1769 (penultimate picture). Judging by the inscription " Albert + Sonja " written near its base, this jug was commissioned as a wedding present or a gift for the mentioned couple. On its bottom letter "P" or "B" is written in blue in a style relatable to a painter from Bayreuth's pottery center. Condition of the item is excellent with minimal sings of use, no damages or restorations. Last three pictures serve for signature identification, precise period dating and size comparison. Detailed photos of the jug are part of the description and can be used as an accurate reference.

Dimensions: Height - 310mm(to the top of pewter mount), Diameter(with handle) - 180mm, Base Diameter - 84mm, Mouth Diameter - 86mm, Weight - 1.204g.

Fast shipment with tracking number through international post or courier services. Items are packed with extra attention for the care of buyer.
