Description from the seller
Floor-standing coat rack in finely turned solid wood, crafted in late Victorian/Liberty style, likely dating to the first half of the 20th century. The central shaft, slender and elegantly carved on the lathe, features a sequence of moldings and taperings typical of artisanal craftsmanship of the period.
The upper part is equipped with curved arms for hats and headgear, finished with rounded ends to avoid damaging fabrics. There are two tiers of turned horizontal arms intended for hanging coats, jackets, and scarves. At the lower part of the post, there are additional small knobs useful for bags or lightweight clothing.
The shaped tripod base ensures stability and gives the piece a harmonious and classic line. The wooden surface features a beautiful antique patina that testifies to use and the passage of time, highlighting the natural grain.
