Description from the seller

A translucent glass bowl of a very slightly bluish green color with convex walls and a rounded lip, resting on a flat discoid base. It has a hemmed parison fold, forming a groove under the rim. It is partially covered with a very thin layer of silver-colored iridescence.


- Roman Empire, possibly Eastern Mediterranean.

- Dimensions: 70 x 70 x 39 mm

- Dating: Mid 1st century - early 2nd century A.D.

- Provenance: Christie's, London, October 17, 1996, lot 31.
