This exquisite bronze vase originates from Japan and dates to the late Meiji period (circa 1900–1920). Standing at an impressive 38 cm (15 inches) in height, with a maximum circumference of 50 cm (19.7 inches) (approximately 16 cm / 6.3 inches in diameter), it exemplifies the refined artistry of traditional Japanese metalwork.

The vase features exceptionally detailed relief decoration, showcasing elaborate floral motifs and stylized phoenixes, symbols of renewal and prosperity in Japanese culture. The base is adorned with finely sculpted lion-like guardian figures (Shishi), adding a strong decorative and symbolic presence. Graceful handles extend from the neck, enhancing the sculptural elegance of the piece.
