泉流山 吉賀大眉 - Bowl - Ceramic - ‘Hagi ware’ bowl

Description: This tea bowl has the quiet, gentle presence that is so characteristic of Hagi ware. The form is simple and open, slightly tapering toward the narrow foot, with proportions that feel calm and balanced rather than precise or rigid. It looks as if it was shaped with care but without over-refinement, allowing small irregularities to remain and give the bowl life. The surface carries the soft, pale tones typical of Hagi: warm beige with subtle hints of pinks and creams blending through the clay and glaze. The glaze is thin in places and thicker in others, creating faint trails and drips that move across the body. Near the foot, the clay shows through more clearly, revealing its sandy, porous texture. That interplay of clay and glaze emphasizes the natural, earthy quality of the piece. The glaze has a quiet sheen, not glossy, but gently reflective, like damp stone. Small pinholes and tiny bumps can be seen across the surface, capturing the movement of the kiln and the slight unpredictability of wood or gas firing. The foot is trimmed simply and left unglazed, exposing the raw clay and giving a tactile contrast when the bowl is held. NOTICE

The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post depends on the situation.
It takes about 3~4 weeks to receive normally.Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
