Bohemian glass decorative heavy bowl from the Czech Republic, dating to 1980–1999, in deep raspberry rubin with transparent sections, mouth-blown and hot-worked in an organic flower form, 21.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm high.
Description from the seller
Very decorative heavy glass bowl, made from high-quality Bohemian (Czech) art glass, probably dating from the late 20th century (circa 1980–2000). The bowl is finished in a deep raspberry/crimson red, combined with transparent sections, producing stunning light and color effects.
The object has an organic, flower-shaped freeform form with a strongly undulating rim and is clearly mouth-blown and hot-worked, after which the glass was reheated and formed. The bowl is solid and heavy, indicating a high lead content, characteristic of traditional Bohemian glass. In the glass, subtle optical lines and reflections are visible, typical of artisanal production.
The underside is flat and lightly ground, with no visible press seams, which confirms its manual fabrication. The piece has an elegant, sculptural appearance and is suitable both as a utilitarian object and as a decorative art object.
Condition: Good vintage condition, without cracks. Normal light signs of use appropriate for the age. Here and there you can see air bubbles.
A beautiful example of Bohemian decorative art glass, highly valued by collectors of 20th-century design glass.
