Conrad Loddiges, The botanical cabinet consisting of coloured delineations of plants. Collection of 80 plates from volumes V (1820) and XI (1825/26). The volumes of the Botanical Cabinet were published in 10 parts with 10 colored plates each. This collection contains parts 1,2,4,7 of volume V, and parts 2,3,4,5 of volume XI. Each plate is accompanied by one page of text. This is a copy of the issue on large paper with very finely fully colored plates (there also exists an issue on smaller paper with partially colored plates). Unsophisticated 20th century (amateur) half leather binding. Pages uncut with full margins. Most plates very clean and in near perfect condition. A few plates are lightly spotted, and two plates (No. 414 and 416) with light dampstaining. Title page of volume V bound in at the beginning.
