Esta figura de Buda en bronce, realizada en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, representa una versión respetuosa y tradicional del icono budista en actitud meditativa. Aunque contemporánea, sigue fielmente los modelos clásicos del arte religioso asiático.

El Buda aparece sentado sobre una base de loto, símbolo de pureza espiritual, con la mano derecha tocando la tierra en el gesto conocido como bhumisparsha mudra, que evoca el momento de la iluminación. La mano izquierda descansa sobre el regazo con la palma hacia arriba, en actitud de recogimiento. El rostro transmite serenidad, con los ojos semicerrados y una expresión introspectiva. El manto cae sobre un hombro, dejando el otro descubierto, con pliegues bien definidos que siguen una línea simétrica.

La pieza muestra un trabajo cuidado en los detalles del pedestal y la vestimenta, lo que sugiere una producción artesanal de calidad, probablemente destinada a uso doméstico o devocional. Aunque no es una antigüedad, su fidelidad estilística y su ejecución en bronce le otorgan valor decorativo y espiritual. Puede tener origen tailandés, birmano o nepalí, según los rasgos faciales y el diseño de la base.
