Koopman - Chess set - Wood

A very beautiful, well-functioning Koopman chess clock.
Koopman clocks were known for their:

Solid wood housing – usually beech or oak, with a classic, angular shape.
Fully mechanical hand-wound movement – no batteries required.
Clear dials with red flag indicators for accurate timekeeping.
Precision-driven tempo – every clock could be adjusted for perfect synchronization
Patent 65843: The flag of precision
One of Koopmans's proudest technical contributions was Patent No. 65843 — clearly indicated on many of his clocks. This patent probably referred to the improved red-flag mechanism and the improved construction of the time-switch system.

Collectors nowadays recognize 'Patent 65843' as an authenticity feature — indicating that it was built during Koopmans' most refined production years.

This clock is from after 1972, as you can tell from the copper back of the clocks; the older clocks had metal backs! h x w x d 13 x 23 x 7 cm
