A set of twelve 800 silver teaspoons from Indochina, produced in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, dating to the French colonial period (late 19th to mid-20th century), each 12 cm long and weighing 10 g (total 120 g).
Description from the seller
Set of twelve silver teaspoons, 800 fineness, produced in French Indochina, originating from Phnom Penh (Cambodia), dating to the colonial period (late 19th – first half of the 20th century).
The set is stylistically homogeneous and consistent with the local production of the period, intended for both European residents and the colonial administration. The design is sober and elegant, typical of everyday silverware of the time.
There are stamps indicating the 800 hallmark, visible in the photographs. The silver has a natural patina consistent with the age of the item. The teaspoons are 12 cm long and weigh 10 grams each.
Provenance: purchased locally in Phnom Penh in the 1950s and kept in a private collection ever since.
The condition is generally good, with normal signs of age and use. No cracks, repairs, or significant deformations are detected. No obvious restorations are present.
