This rare booklet titled “Ran – Record ’85” is an internal production record related to Ran, directed by Akira Kurosawa.
It was created at the time of the film’s completion and intended for related parties rather than for commercial sale.

The booklet contains exceptionally detailed content, including:

A comprehensive staff list of approximately 100 individuals, covering even costume, props, and other on-set departments

Production diaries recorded daily by the Kurosawa production team, spanning nearly one full year

The screenplay

Numerous photographs of filming locations, behind-the-scenes moments, and scenes from the film

Due to its documentary nature and depth, this publication serves as an important historical reference for the study of Kurosawa’s filmmaking process and the production of Ran.

Condition:
Minor rubbing at the corners of the front and back covers.
Slight discoloration to the fore-edge (opposite the spine).
Otherwise in very good condition.
