London: Printed for and sold by Thomas Aldred, At his Archery Warehouse, 1854 A first edition of 'The Young Archer's Assistant....', published in London, 1854. Scarce. 12mo, bound in period green wrappers, gilt lettered to upper cover. Modern pale yellow endpapers. Housed in a custom made green buckram and marbled paper covered clamshell box, gilt lettered, small binders label inside. Measuring approx 17cm by 12cm when contained in its box. The contents are complete in 34pp, with its wood engraved frontispiece and further plate. Condition: The binding is holding firmly and in good condition, rubbed and worn to extremities, lightly frayed to spine. Contents are holding firmly and in good condition, pulling to cords to title with small closed tear to gutter, general toning, some spotting and the odd mark. Small water stain to final leaf and rear pastedown. Please see images for further condition.
