Chinese Export Porcelain Teapot – Mandarin Palette
Fine Chinese porcelain teapot decorated in the traditional Mandarin palette, featuring hand-painted figural scenes, birds, floral medallions, and elaborate scrolling foliage in soft pastel tones with iron-red and gilt accents. The decoration is finely executed and typical of Canton export wares made for the Western market.
The teapot is fitted with a woven rattan handle, a characteristic feature of 19th-century Chinese export porcelain, providing both practicality and visual charm. The interior is cleanly glazed and decorated with a floral motif visible at the opening.
