The work presents a still life with a dark, sober atmosphere, constructed from a carefully composed arrangement of everyday objects laid out on a textile surface. Distinguishable are ceramic and metal containers, a vessel in reddish tones, fruits and other domestic elements, treated with a palette dominated by ochres, browns, and deep blacks. The use of chiaroscuro is decisive, generating a strong contrast between light and shadow that adds depth and volume to the depicted objects. The brushwork is restrained and precise, with particular attention to textures and the materiality of each element, evoking a classical still-life tradition reinterpretated in the twentieth century.

The piece is presented with a carved and gilded wooden frame, with a straight profile and simple molding, in keeping with the sober character of the still life. The frame bears the patina of time and slight signs of use, consistent with its age and decorative function.
