Fine Chinese blue and white porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Guangxu period (1875-1908). The vessel is decorated with a finely painted birds among flowers and branches. The base bears a four-character Kangxi mark. The marked silver mounting is a later Dutch addition, dating to the late 19th/early 20th century. Condition: good, minor chips at the transition between the glaze and the unglazed foot and a small chip almost invisible restored at the foot rim (indicated in the photographs).
