Description from the seller
Jared Jones, born 1968 Swansea, Wales now lives and works in Andalucia, Spain. Self taught as a painter drawing on his experience of having achieved a bachelors degree in photography, Maidstone college of art and design and a Masters degree in computer animation at Bournemouth university.
The unrelenting heat from the sun illuminates the desert scene in a warm amber light. What has happened in this place?
This sacred place where the voices of ancient ancestors converse with the gods echoing on the wind and in the very rocks and dirt.
Did travellers unwittingly venture where it is forbidden?
Emphasizing the lights play of shadows, ambience and atmosphere, multiple layers are created for depth and mood. The composition invites the onlooker to circle around the image to discover more at each and every turn.
The painting offers bold and loose brush strokes along with specific details to give depth and clarity and is painted on canvas in oils. The canvas is stretched on canvas so it cannot be rolled and the edges are also painted so can be hung without a frame.
Other works by the artist have been exhibited and sold locally in Andalucia and also internationally via online sales.
