- Thomas Stafford, commander of Apollo 10, the ultimate rehearsal before the Apollo 11 mission that brought men to the Moon's surface for the first time. In 1975, Stafford commanded the Apollo-Soyuz mission, the first joint space mission between the Soviet Union and the United States. He ultimately participated in six space missions and logged 507 hours in space.
- James McDivitt, aka Jim McDivitt, astronaut, aerospace engineer, test pilot and American aviator who played an important role in the Gemini and Apollo programs.
- Loren J. Shriver, American astronaut, who completed three flights in 1985, 1990 and 1992.
- Ronald John Grabe aka Ron Grabe, American astronaut who flew on three Space Shuttle missions.
