A superb pair of Art Deco-style dangling earrings, combining an architectural design in solid sterling silver with the vibrant turquoise color.
Details of the jewelry:
These earrings feature a bold geometric design, characteristic of Art Deco aesthetics. The upper part consists of a half-circle of genuine turquoise bezel-set. The lower part, mobile and articulated, showcases tiered silver motifs arranged in steps, typical of the 1930s.
Provenance and Hallmarks:
Manufacture: Italian.
Hallmarks on the earrings: '925' silver in an oval and a master mark in a diamond shape '720 FI'. This mark indicates production by a silversmith registered under number 720 in the province of Florence (Firenze), a guarantee of quality.
Punch marks on the clasps: See note below.
Condition of preservation
Overall condition: Excellent state of preservation.
Finish: The jewelry has not been deeply cleaned in order to preserve its beautiful natural patina and its vintage character. The buyer may choose to have them polished according to their preference.
Note (Transparency): The butterfly clasps are not identical to the original, but they are perfectly functional and secure. One is solid silver stamped "925" (marked Italy), the other is silver stamped "800".
