The label reads “Made in Hong Kong of Italian Yarn”, identifying it as a highly sought-after period when Polo used premium Italian lambswool combined with high-quality Hong Kong manufacturing, before mass production moved elsewhere.

Made from 100% lambswool, offering a soft, dense and luxurious feel with excellent warmth and durability.
The sweater features a deep burgundy (dark red / wine) colour, which highlights the richness of the Italian wool and gives the piece a classic, elegant Ivy-League appearance.
It is finished with the iconic embroidered Polo pony and a timeless V-neck silhouette.

Condition is very good vintage, with no holes or thinning and only minimal signs of wear consistent with age. The colour remains deep and vibrant.
