AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Artistic ceramic vase-sculpture – Baldelli, Italy

Decorative vase in Italian artistic ceramic with strong sculptural character, signed Baldelli – Italy, and numbered at the base.
The work stands out for its slender, totemic form, characterized by an outer surface with a raw, tactile texture, deliberately irregular, contrasting with the dark glazed interior.

On the front there is a stylized painted decoration depicting a fish, executed by hand with polychrome enamels: vertical lines, rhythmic dots and color accents in red, light blue, green and gray. The motif recalls a naïve-modernist language, typical of Italian artistic production between the late twentieth century and the early twenty-first century.

The object is designed as a usable vase, but it was conceived mainly as a decorative/sculptural work, meant to be displayed even when empty.

Signed and numbered underneath the base.

Measures
• Height: approx. 25 cm
• Base diameter: approx. 6 cm

Excellent overall condition.
