Description from the seller
Large 14.41g Moldavite – High Quality – Chlum nad Malší, Czech Republic
Description:
Offered is a stunning, authentic Moldavite (Vltavín) from the world-renowned locality of Chlum nad Malší in the Czech Republic. Moldavite is a Tektite formed approximately 14.7 million years ago by a meteorite impact in Southern Germany (Ries Crater).
This particular specimen is exceptional due to its significant weight of 14.41 grams. It displays the classic, sought-after characteristics of the Chlum locality:
Deep Green Color: A beautiful, translucent forest-green hue when backlit.
Intricate Sculpting: Features a rich and delicate surface texture (pitting and grooves) typical of high-quality Bohemian Moldavites.
Investment Grade: Specimens exceeding 10 grams are increasingly rare and highly collectible.
Pristine Condition: No major chips or damage, preserving its natural integrity.
Moldavite is the only "gemstone" grade tektite in the world and is rapidly becoming more difficult to find as the deposits are being depleted. This is a perfect piece for serious collectors or for use in high-end bespoke jewelry.
