Val Saint Lambert Art Deco crystal liqueur service ‘Montmartre’, dating from 1930–1940, in clear crystal with a black stopper, including six clear glasses and a carafe with two small chips on the base, height 26.5 cm with stopper (21.5 cm without), made in Belgium.
Description from the seller
Val Saint Lambert - Art Deco liqueur service 'Montmartre'
Iconic, rare Art Deco crystal liquor service, produced by the Belgian factory Val Saint Lambert (VSL) (from Seraing), known for its geometric shapes, facets, and often black accents, popular in the 1930s, and named after the Parisian hill district. It is a sought-after collector's item.
The body of the carafe is made of clear crystal and is cut with twelve flat, beveled sides. The solid stopper is made of black crystal. The stopper bears the number 5 at the bottom. This number corresponds to the number engraved inside the neck.
Attached are six glasses in clear crystal.
The entire item is in very good condition with only minor signs of age and use. No stains. There are two small chips/flea bites at the base of the decanter (see photos).
Unmarked, like all VSL products of this age, but referenced in VSL catalogs and documents. It is also mentioned in the Val Saint-Lambert catalog of 1933 on page 13.
Height: 21.5 cm without stopper, 26.5 cm with stopper. Glasses are 8 cm tall.
Photos are part of the description. Will be carefully packaged, shipped insured, and with a tracking code to your home. We do not ship outside the EU or to (island) countries with special customs regulations.
I will be absent from January 24 to 31. Items sold during this week can only be shipped from February 1.
