Gustave Hauber,
His company was founded in 1870 as a factory for silverware and necklaces in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany.
Bauhaus ideas and designs were quickly adopted by silversmiths in the region starting around 1928.
Convincing modernist jewelry in the style of 'Nieuwe Objectiviteit' emerged, showcasing a complete departure from classical jewelry and produced until the end of the 1940s.
The jewelry was characterized by geometric shapes such as spheres, cones, squares, loops and spirals; a beautiful example is the brooch from that period!
The company is still active to date and is currently led by Axel and Heike Rohrmuss.
They are still known for their high-quality jewelry that is very collectible!
Photos are enlarged; please check the specifications for measurements.
The brooch is lightly cleaned before shipping and sent in a gift box, registered and insured, with Track and Trace.
