4/4 violin labelled Ferdinandus Gagliano filius Nicolai fecit Neap. 1795, year of manufacture 1795, in good condition and tested and working, made of wood, weight 0.5 kg, no extras, country of origin unknown.

A very fine antique 4/4 violin, labeled Ferdinandus Gagliano filius Nicolai fecit Neap. 1795. The instrument is in ready to play condition with tears and wears but no visible cracks, new boxwood set up, new bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent medium to high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 584 mm and the back 355 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 160 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 203 mm. Full size. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping with DHL worldwide
