Description from the seller
My pieces are designed to be companions more than possessions.
I give my objects organic and animated qualities, wishing for people to become attached to them like to pets.
Vincent Decat is an artist-designer based in Paris, a graduate of the Design Academy of Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He considers the durability of an object not only through its materials but primarily through the emotional connection it evokes. By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that must be cared for, kept, and cherished.
Some industrial components have aesthetic qualities that we sometimes overlook when we focus solely on their function. Our perception changes once they are taken out of their context and placed within a different setting.
The rotating head of the Tripod lamp allows for different light projection angles in a space, thanks to its adjustable faucet connector. The body of the lamp consists of curtains, plumbing elements, and hinges.
Technical information
Lamp available for countries using a voltage of 220–230 V.
Allow an additional period of 2 weeks for cases other than type E.
The lamp head is designed to rotate, allowing easy adjustment of the light's direction.
